The ATAS online application process can take an hour or longer to complete. It’s essential that you provide all the information requested or your application may be delayed or refused.
We’d recommend applying as early as you can to avoid delays in receiving your ATAS certificate. Please be advised that you can't apply for your visa until you’ve received your ATAS certificate.
If you’re a current student who is continuing their research or studies, you should declare this clearly on your application and that you’re not starting a new course or research.
Here’s some guidance on how to complete the different sections of the application.
