Module feedback and evaluation are essential parts of your academic journey. They provide the opportunity for you to share your experiences, highlight what's working well, and suggest improvements. This feedback helps shape your learning environment and contributes to the improvement of your course. It also ensures that your voice is heard throughout your studies at King's.

How your module feedback is collected

We've collaborated with students to enhance the feedback process by making it more timely, relevant, and impactful. You'll soon have three opportunities to give feedback at key points in your modules:

1. Early Check-In
  • A quick, informal feedback method used at the start of the module to check if you have everything you need to succeed.

2. Mid-Module Review (Launching formally in September 2026)

  • A formal opportunity to provide feedback while the module is ongoing.
  • This helps identify what's working and what needs improvement in real time.
  • Some staff at King's may already use the Mid-Module Review, so you may experience it before its formal launch in 2026-27.

3. Enhanced End-of-Module Evaluation

  • A shorter, more focused survey to reflect on the overall module experience.
  • Your feedback supports future students and helps staff improve teaching quality.
  • This is an important metric for academic staff, so we appreciate you taking the time to complete it.

What platform will I be using to submit my feedback?

How can I ensure the feedback I provide is constructive?

How will I submit feedback for placement and/or dissertation modules?

How King's will respond to your feedback

King’s staff will respond to your feedback and explain how it can be used. This is calledclosing the feedback loop’.

You may hear changes explained in class, on KEATS, via email or through your student representatives. It helps make the feedback process visible and demonstrates how we are acting on your feedback when able to do so.

Staff are expected to:

  • Respond to early and mid-module feedback by the next class or within 10 days. This can be in the class itself and/or via email.
  • Share a summary of End-of-Module Evaluations within four working weeks of the survey closing. You will receive a ‘Closing the Loop Report’ which includes student satisfaction scores for the module, and the Module Lead's response to any written feedback.

If you don’t receive a response, you should inform your student representatives who are trained to escalate the issue.

Will there be actions for me to take?

What if I ask for something that can't change?

Is feedback anonymous?

Who can I talk to about different issues?

Your feedback is vital, not just at the end, but throughout your learning journey. These changes are designed to make your voice more impactful. So when the opportunity arises, take part and help shape a better learning experience for yourself and your peers.
