Collectively, King’s Bullying and Harassment Policy, King’s Community Charter and IoPPN’s Code of Conduct set the behaviour expectations for our staff, students and visitors.

Find out more about King’s approach on the Preventing and addressing bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct webpage.

During your time at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), we hope you won't experience bullying, harassment or sexual misconduct. However, if you experience, witness or are told about inappropriate behaviour, it's important that you know how to report it and where you can access support.

You can find a list of inappropriate behaviours on the Report + Support webpage.

Ways of reporting

  • Anonymous Reporting - means completing Report + Support with or without contact details which helps the IoPPN and King’s to identify patterns and monitor trends and inform proactive and preventative bullying and harassment work. Where you report with contact details, you will be contacted by someone with relevant support and guidance.

  • Informal Reporting - means informally discussing the incident/s of inappropriate behaviour with a member of staff which may include, but isn’t limited to, your personal tutors, supervisors, the IoPPN CEDI Core Team, senior colleagues (Heads of Departments) or mentors and support staff (e.g. PGT and PGR personal tutor co-ordinators). You can also contact one of IoPPN’s Bullying and Harassment Confidential Advisors.

  • Formal Reporting - means reporting the bullying via Report + Support ensuring that you include your contact details

For further, information about reporting inappropriate behaviour please view our Addressing Bullying and Harassment Toolkit. You can also reach out to your personal tutor to discuss the incident or issues.
